Sean lives in Joplin, Missouri with his wife Amanda and their three cats: Sif, Orion and Thor. He graduated from Missouri Southern State University (Joplin, MO) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, minor in Philosophy. He received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Pittsburg State University (Pittsburg, Kansas) in 2005.
Beginning in November of 2008, Sean has completed five books in “The Dragon’s Blood Chronicles” series, and one companion book. He is very devoted to his fans and will enthusiastically converse with anyone interested in his work, as well as listen and offer advice to writers that are just beginning their journey. His beta readers are fans to the point of being fanatical, but in a good way. Sean’s characters and scene crafting in the series are exceptional, and appealing to anyone that appreciates good fiction of any genre.
His literary influences include H.P. Lovecraft, Anne Rice, Robert E. Howard and R.A. Salvatore, among others. In addition to writing, Sean enjoys watching and reading science fiction, fantasy, horror, and thrillers, fantasy role-playing games (Shadowrun) and collecting firearms. Sean’s background in sociology, criminology, and philosophy are heavy influences on his work, as well as his experience as an investigator (former) for the State of Missouri.

Sean Poindexter is an incredible author. His writting style is both unique and vivid, he never fails to entertain and amaze. His work always keeps me on the edge of my seat. Not to mention he is pretty fun to look at, but that is another matter entirely.
